My Magic

I have been fascinated with magic since childhood.  I got my first magic kit when I was about 10 and I did (poorly) most of the included tricks.  I got my first real trick when I was 15 and went to Las Vegas for a high school band trip.  I was hooked.  For half my life I have been collecting magic.  I started with trick decks and gaffed coins and have been progressively moving on.  This page is a listing of what I have in my magic collection.

Brainwave Deck

You ask a spectator to name any card in the deck. She tells you which card she has chosen. You remove a deck of cards from its box and fan the cards. There is one card face up in the deck -it is the spectator's freely named card! Now, for the *second* climax. You prove that you knew the card to be selected in advance by showing that spectator's card has a different colored back than the remainder of the deck!

My comment: The trick is very powerful, but for a gimmicked deck and a classic routine, it really requires a lot of work.
