My Magic

I have been fascinated with magic since childhood.  I got my first magic kit when I was about 10 and I did (poorly) most of the included tricks.  I got my first real trick when I was 15 and went to Las Vegas for a high school band trip.  I was hooked.  For half my life I have been collecting magic.  I started with trick decks and gaffed coins and have been progressively moving on.  This page is a listing of what I have in my magic collection.

I'll Name Your Card

A spectator mentally selects any card from a deck. The magician then reveals the card by "naming" her card. The spectator is asked which card she chose. The magician turns that card over to reveal that the "name" on the back of the card is the same as the spectator's chosen card! Routine is described on the back of the label wrapped around the deck of cards.

My comment: This is a funny trick, but it isn't all that powerful. It is fairly transparent.
